Our
Coaching
As my ongoing coaching client Abi Van Andel said to me,
"You have helped me renew my vows to my artistry"

The easiest thing in the world is to feel ‘stuck. or lost.

I get it. The problem isn’t you. This is an industry that doesn’t make logical sense. It never has that is totally okay. Once we know the ‘rules’ of the industry, then we know how to break them (or at least bend them to our favour).
I’ve been bending industry rules for many years and it works.

my approach is to hold a mirror up to yourself and help you work out where you want to be. We then work together to get you there. I send out an initial two page questionnaire, some questions are fairly simple, same could make you think a little - i encourage you to answer all the questions and that gives me a strong idea of where you want to go. From that place we start. For my month and longer clients i set homework to do for the following week.
This has two effects: 1. I hold you accountable to you and 2. you hold yourself accountable to you.

Originally from London, I now live in the US (timezone: CST) and work as a coach on zoom.
I can work in person should you be a local to where i am, if not, zoom, facetime or a phone call.
Goals -vs- Systems
Actors focus on goals a LOT ‘I want to be booked on this show….’ or ‘I want to get this agent…’ that’s fine and a lot of my work is looking at goals and how to work together to get them…however goals actually represent a very tiny percentage of what it actually takes to get them. Plus having a purely goal orientated approach can be deeply unsatisfying.

It’s the systems in place that you have to achieve what you want. A common trap is to solely focus on the goals that you want, the outcome, and not consider the systems you have in place to achieve that. My work encompasses all areas, not just the end result - as James Clear says “we don’t rise to the height of our goals, we fall to the level of our systems”.
Contacting Casting, Agents, Directors
Contacting casting is a skill in itself. Using many of my proven methods, we successfully contact and build a relationship, with casting.
Getting Specific
Specificity is often under appreciated by actors who often think ‘I can be this role, i can do this role and that role’.
Of course you can. But will you? The more my clients get specific about what is is that they want, the easier the prices of getting there will be. In other words, we work together on not getting general and zero in in your bullseye casting types, the casting offices we want to target and how to target them specifically.
Self Tapes and Taping Technique
I have worked on literally thousands of self tapes, in casting, agenting and coaching and can show you the difference between a believable and not so believable self tape.
Doing -vs- Being
Being an actor is something that is not spoken about too much. What does being an actor look like for you?
Again, a lot of actors concentrate on the doing (results oriented approach) but being an actor? That’s not always thought of.
Coping Mechanisms
When things are ‘quiet’ for you, what are the mechanisms you have in place to cope? Knowing that the industry is a marathon and there are natural ebbs and flows, is sometimes not enough - We need first hand direct experience of what is casting and how to get on someones radar. That way we ‘feel’ more in control of our career.
INVESTMENT
I am VERY flexible with my investment costs and have offered many sessions at different pricing to reflect individual circumstances. I’m an actor and totally get that income fluctuates. I operate in a realm of trust and it bothers me not to be able to afford something that will really help so i offer flexibility with costs to anyone who needs.
Here are Some Investment Costs Below:
-
For 1 session (usually an hour) - $155 / £119
-
For 4 sessions a month (usually an hour) $450 / £344
-
For 3 month sessions (usually an hour each) $1100 / £900
As you can see there are discounts for longer term bookings.
